“Beauty in Death”
By Joy Smiles
The ever-changing journey of life begs the question: can there be life without death?
Life unfolds with the emergence of leaves, the quiet growth of mushrooms, the gentle flow of water, and the twinkling brilliance of stars. Yet, amidst this vibrant tapestry, skulls stand as silent reminders of lives once lived. In them, we find echoes of both life and death, mirroring the eternal cycle present even in the vastness of outer space. Like the intricate design of a honeycomb, nature's strength and beauty are woven into every aspect of existence.
Gratitude fills our hearts for the profound experience of life that we are fortunate to partake in.
As we encounter death on our journey, may we find solace in celebrating the richness of the life that came before. For it is merely the transition from one phase of existence to another—the shedding of this physical form.
Whether it be the promise of heaven, the notion of ascension, or the embrace of a new life, death unveils itself as but a gateway to a fresh beginning.
Size: 24x36 inches
Medium: Acrylic and UV paint
